Membership Scheme
Friends of ACT - the Aylsham Care Trust membership scheme - was officially launched at the AGM Presentation held at Aylsham Town Hall on Tuesday, 3 May, 2011.
The initiative to set up the Friends of ACT membership scheme was borne out of the Trustees wish to recognise the important contribution made by existing volunteers and to acknowledge the generosity of current donors by giving them honorary membership automatically. But Friends of ACT is very much about the future of the organisation too.
We are in constant need of more volunteers to meet the increase in demand for our services. All volunteers will become Friends of ACT as a matter of course whether or not they wish to give financially or not.
But in these challenging economic times there are also pressures for us to secure significantly greater financial support in order to provide essential capital equipment for, and maintenance of, the exciting new ACT Centre we are building for the communities of Aylsham and surrounding district at the St Michaels Complex.
So the membership scheme has also been designed to provide others - both individuals and businesses - with the opportunity to contribute in their own way to the work of ACT. This can be done in a practical way by giving up some of your valuable free time as a volunteer to help us provide services to those in need. We currently need drivers, minibus drivers, escorts, coffee morning helpers, cooks, luncheon club helpers and reserve helpers.
Alternatively you may prefer to make a donation in the form of a subscription to the Friends of ACT membership scheme. By writing out a one-off cheque or committing to a regular payment - through a standing order - you will be directly aiding those in need because Aylsham Care Trust operates almost entirely on unpaid volunteer resources.

Quarterly Newsletter
Members have the option to receive a quarterly newsletter that provides an update on key areas of interest and keeps our supporters abreast of current and forthcoming activities.
This is made available in a printed version but may also be available in downloadable .pdf format.
Sponsorship opportunities
Corporate members - small and medium sized local businesses, larger regional companies and national corporations - can sponsor us with a company link to the ACT web site
Invitation to important events
We can extend special invitation to our members to participate in certain ACT social events or meet with some of our Trustees
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
We do not have any set fees for joining our membership scheme.
For your subscription we give you the choice to donate whatever sum you feel is affordable and appropriate. We do not have a minimum or a maximum amount.
You have the option of giving us a simple one-off payment and we can accept cheque or cash! If you want to make an ongoing commitment to supporting us though all you need to do is complete a standing order form above.
